Citizen Development is a method that hides the sophistication and complexity of coding, allowing non-IT professionals to design, develop, and deploy applications to production as if they were experienced programmers. This approach, also known as low-code/no-code (LC/NC), uses recent advances in technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning to hide code complexity while providing functionality.

Citizen Development empowers individuals within organizations to create and provide opportunities for change and eliminate inefficient processes.

Citizen Development webinars are organized by Galway Citizen Development (University of Galway) as part of the Idea2Impact (i2i) project. The workshops are designed to introduce participants to the principles of Citizen Development and teach them to turn their idea into an application by the end of the course.

The training will be online and no prior technical knowledge of the subject is required.
