Teachers - STA - Incoming

General conditions

The Erasmus+ programme allows academic staff from partner institutions within the programme countries to undertake a teaching mobility at Comenius University Bratislava. The condition for undertaking a teaching mobility is the signing of an interinstitutional agreement (IIA) between the sending institution and Comenius University as the receiving institution.

How does it work? 

  1. Applicants for teaching mobility are selected by the sending higher education institution.
  2. The international/Erasmus+ office at the sending institution is responsible for administrative support for the participants to be sent on teaching mobility.
  3. The participant is expected to arrange/prepare his/her workplan/teaching programme in cooperation with the receiving faculty of Comenius University - find the right contact at our faculties at Contacts page
  4. The contact person (the staff member responsible for hosting at Comenius University) is required to inform their faculty Erasmus+ coordinator (the faculty’s International Relations Office) of the arrival of an incoming teacher through the Erasmus+ programme. The office will provide the teacher with information on how to submit an application via the Mobility Online IT system.
  5. Once the application has been submitted and approved by the faculty, the teacher will upload the Mobility Agreement (signed by the participant and the sending institution) to Mobility Online system, which will be electronically signed by the relevant Vice-Dean of the faculty (Erasmus+ coordinator).

At the end of the mobility period, the Faculty’s International Relations Office will email the teacher a Certificate of completion of mobility bearing the University’s electronic signature.

Travel and Accomodation

When undertaking an Erasmus+ teaching mobility at Comenius University as the receiving institution, participants are expected to arrange travel by themselves.

The hosting faculty will inform the participant about accommodation possibilities in Bratislava or Martin. The participant is expected to cover all of the related costs from the financial support received as a part of the grant from his/her sending institution.
