Project
In the period from 2025 to 2028, the services of the CU Psychological Counseling Office are supported as part of the project Support for Counseling and Improvement of Students’ Mental Health. The project is co-funded by the European Union under the Programme Slovakia and implemented by the CU Psychological Counselling Office.

Activities of the project respond to the challenges of university life, a period of personal and academic growth, and provide comprehensive, effective, and sustainable solutions in the area of mental health for the academic community. The main objective of the project is to strengthen, systematise, and expand counselling and support services at Comenius University.
Emphasis is placed on individual, group, and remote psychological counselling, as well as on the implementation of the peer-support programme “Buddy System” across the entire university. The project focuses on the integration of international students and provides targeted support for individuals with specific needs. Events such as the “Health Day” and the “Open Day of the CU Psychological Counselling Office” will aim to raise awareness of the importance of mental health among students and academic staff.
The expected outcomes of the project include higher-quality support and counselling in the area of mental health. The availability of psychological support will increase, positively influencing students’ well-being, their academic performance, and the overall quality of academic life. The project will also facilitate access to higher education for students with specific needs, ensure accessible and high-quality counselling for international students, and support the professional development of CU staff. Furthermore, cooperation between various university units will be strengthened, contributing to the creation of a sustainable model of mental-health care.
