Two of Our Students Named Student Personalities of Slovakia
On 8 April 2022, successful students and young researchers were presented the Student Personality of Slovakia awards at Pálffy Palace in Bratislava. The prize is awarded annually by the Junior Chamber International - Slovakia, a civic association. The event takes place under the auspices of the President of the Slovak Republic, Zuzana Čaputová, and under the professional guarantee of the Slovak Rectors' Conference and the Slovak Academy of Sciences. Comenius University was represented by Michaela Matušková and Samuel Baláž.
Michaela Matušková from the Faculty of Pharmacy won in the pharmacy category. Samuel Baláž from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport became the best student in the sport category.
The competition’s absolute winner is Ladislav Palkovič from the Faculty of Music and Dance of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. A jury of experts selected the laureates from 102 nominations.
At the 17th annual award for the academic year 2020/2021, students received recognition in 13 categories - informatics and mathematical and physical sciences; economics; electrical engineering, industrial technologies; metallurgy, engineering, energy; medical sciences; pharmacy; natural sciences, chemistry; civil engineering, architecture; agriculture, forestry, wood processing; philosophy, political science, sociology, pedagogy, history; law; culture, art and sport.
