Scientists of CU are once again present at the Europe an researchers’ night

Scientists and innovators from Comenius University have once again prepared activities which will allow people to look into their laboratories and their field research. The 13th year of the European Researchers’ Night is taking place at the Old Market Hall.

Physicists from Comenius University will present the use of atmospheric plasma and principles of the particle accelerator, and people will become familiar with the radioactive environment around us. Natural scientists will provide answers to questions about biological rhythms, yeast cells, human bones, underground water, geology, and many other topics. These scientists will present experiments dealing with the optic characteristics of various colours, explain autism and what blood cells are for, and will also present interesting aspects of DNA and geometry in everyday life. Visitors will also learn about ancient Mayan culture and its extinction, and about a form of learning activities for developing mathematical skills.
