DNA Day will take place on 27 April 2018 (Friday) at the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Comenius University. This event is being held to honour the 65th anniversary of the discovery of the structure of DNA (in 1953), and the faculty is organizing it in partnership with the Faculty of Medicine and the British Council.

All those interested in the natural sciences can attend prepared talks (in Room B1-301 [Aula]), where experts from both faculties will explain how and why we genetically modify organisms, how immunity can have an ego, and what happens when DNA is off the mark.

Professor Turi King (University of Leicester), the head of the research team that identified the remains of King Richard III of England, will also be giving a lecture.

Over the whole week there will be an interesting programme of events, including interactive booths and competitions. For more information, click here.
