Advances in Biomaterials and 3D Printing for Regenerative Dentistry
25 September 2023 at 2:30 p. m. in the Ladziansky Auditorium at Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University Bratislava
How far we are from growing the third teeth? How can we utilize 3D printing with special materials and our own cells to repair teeth and other parts of the human body? What is "regenerative dentistry" and where is the horizon of knowledge in this field?
The first ever foreign lecture in the field of regenerative dentistry in Slovakia by Lobat Tayebi from Marquette University School of Dentistry Milwaukee, USA.
The lecture Advances in Biomaterials and 3D Printing for Regenerative Dentistry will take place on 25 September 2023 at 2:30 p. m. in the Ladziansky Auditorium at Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University Bratislava.
The number of places is limited, please, register here.
The lecture is given by Lobat Tayebi, a professor and director of research at the Marquette University School of Dentistry. ProfessorTayebi is an expert in biomaterials and 3D printing, and her laboratory is at the forefront of research in regenerative dentistry.
If you are interested in learning more about the future of regenerative dentistry, you have a unique opportunity just now.
Professor Tayebi and her team are using a variety of biomaterials, including polymers, ceramics, and metals, to create customized implants and scaffolds for tissue regeneration.
They are also developing new 3D printing techniques that can be used to create more complex and realistic structures. The goal of their research is to develop new therapies that can repair or replace damaged or missing dental tissues.
The research presented in the lecture is still in the early stages, but it has the potential to revolutionize the way we treat dental diseases. With further research, these technologies could be used to treat a wide range of dental problems, from cavities to gum disease to missing teeth.
The lecture is held under the supervision of the Vice Dean for Dentistry, Assoc. Prof. Andrej Thurzo, MD., PhD., MPH, MHA.
