THE NEXT DEAN OF THE FACULTY OF ARTS WILL BE PROFESSOR MARTIN SLOBODNÍK

At a public meeting on 26 November 2018, the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Arts at Comenius University in Bratislava elected Professor Martin Slobodník to be the next dean of the faculty.

Twenty-nine of the thirty senate members attended the official meeting. This meant that the senate had an adequate quorum throughout the whole process.

Twenty of the present senators voted for Professor Slobodník to be the next faculty dean, and all the requirements of the faculty statutes regarding the election of the dean were met.

Professor Slobodník will become the faculty dean in his first term in office after he is appointed to the position by the Comenius University Rector following the submission of a proposal by the faculty’s Academic Senate. The term of office for the dean of the faculty commences on 1 February 2019 and finishes on 31 January 2023.
