Comenius University presented its study opportunities at international events in the U.S. and in Southeast Europe
In May 2026, representatives of Comenius University Bratislava took part in several international events focused on the internationalisation of higher education and the recruitment of international students. The university was represented at NAFSA 2026, the world’s largest higher education conference and exhibition, held in Orlando, Florida, as well as at the recruitment events Begin High School and University Visits Sofia, Begin University Visits Bucharest and Begin University Visits Belgrade.
During NAFSA 2026, CU representatives attended the conference programme, held bilateral meetings with partner universities, and met with representatives of international organisations and ranking agencies. Discussions focused on opportunities for student and staff mobility, exchange programmes, internships, the development of international cooperation, and the establishment of new partnerships with universities from around the world.
The discussions also explored opportunities for cooperation with North American universities in developing short-term study programmes and summer schools in nuclear-related fields.
At the Begin events, CU representatives met prospective international students and introduced them to the university’s academic offer and student life in Slovakia. Participation in these events helped strengthen the university’s international visibility, expand its network of international partners, and support CU’s strategic objectives in the internationalisation of education and research.
Comenius University’s participation in NAFSA 2026 and the international Begin recruitment events was supported by the Slovak Recovery and Resilience Plan under the call Support for Projects Promoting Higher Education Institutions Abroad – Stage 2.
