A Lecture by a World-famous University of Oxford Scientist at Comenius University

We invite you to the Comenius University Auditorium on Friday, 15 February 2019, in the early-evening hours. The world-famous and distinguished scientist, British theoretical physicist, mathematician and philosopher of science, Sir Roger Penrose of the University of Oxford, will deliver a public lecture. The lecture on the topic of Are we seeing Hawking points in the cosmic microwave background? will take place in the Comenius University Auditorium. The lecture will offer a closer look at the recent discovery supporting the cyclic universe theory, the development of which he participated on to a significant degree.

Professor R. Penrose will come to Slovakia on the occasion of Quantum spacetime ‘19 conference taking place on 11 – 14 February 2019 at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics at CU. He is the author of numerous successful books intended for the general public and his work in this field was awarded the Fonseca Prize in 2011.
