Teachers/ Researchers short term visits in the framework of bilateral agreements
The Comenius University in Bratislave has 53 bilateral agreements signed with international universities. Short term visits for teaching and research staff are possible in the framework of those bilateral agreements and may last up from 7 to 14 days.
The aim of these visits is to form sustained networks between academic institutions.
Visits are intended for university researchers or teaching staff depending upon the agreement between the Rectorate of the Comenius University in Bratislava and the foreign university. The bilateral agreement specifies the conditions and eligible candidates.
The hosting Faculty, nominates a cotact person who will be responsible of providing programme and also serves as an intermediary between the incoming staff and International Relations Office – Rectorate of the Comenius University in Bratislava.
Incoming staff pay their own travel expenses to Slovakia and back to their country of origin in accordance with the rules of their sending institution.
International Relations Office – Rectorate of the Comenius University in Bratislava provides Daily Subsistence Allowance (DSA) as well as accomodation to incoming staff from European partner universities. DSA is paid by the rectorate’s cashier (daily from 10.00 am- 12.00 and 01.00 pm - 02.00pm) in accordance to the Slovak legislation on travel expenses. The contact person at the hosting faculty is responsible for the collection and transfer of DSA.
