The President appointed Marek Števček as rector of Comenius University

Bratislava, 14 November 2022: Today, Comenius University Rector Marek Števček received his Appointment Decree from the Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová. He will assume his second term of office as rector between 1 February 2023 and 31 January 2027.

Marek Števček works at the Faculty of Law of Comenius University. He also studied philosophy, is the head of the civil law department, was vice-rector for legislation for two years, and has been the university's rector since 2019. In the years to come, he plans to focus on securing sufficient funding for the university and improving the image of higher education.
