The new dean of the Faculty of Management will be Professor Greguš
On 18 February 2019, an election for the dean of the Faculty of Management at Comenius University took place. There was one candidate, Professor Michal Greguš, for the position.
Professor Michal Greguš will become the new dean of the Faculty of Management, gaining thirteen out of fifteen votes in the first round and therefore an absolute majority of votes in the electoral commission, which is needed if only one candidate is nominated for the office of dean. The new dean will be appointed to his position by the Comenius University rector once a proposal has been submitted by the Faculty of Management’s Academic Senate. The term of office of the dean will be from 1 March 2019 to 28 February 2023.
Professor Greguš graduated from Comenius University’s Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics. He was a member of the Minister of Education’s Council for Distance Learning and a member of the Council of Higher Education. Since 2002 he has worked at Comenius University as a professor. He is the head of the Department of Information Systems at the Faculty of Management. At present, he does research into information systems, project management, and the modelling of economic processes as well as the analysis of big data. In these areas, he has published more than fifty scientific publications in renowned journals and international conference proceedings. He is currently the Vice-Dean for International Relations and Information Technology at the Faculty of Management. He is also the guarantor of habilitation and inauguration events and the doctoral and Master’s-level study programme in management.
