THE NEW DEAN OF THE FACULTY OF EDUCATION WILL BE ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR EDITA PARTOVÁ
On 18 December 2018 (Tuesday) an election was held for the positon of the Dean of the Faculty of Education at Comenius University in Bratislava. Both Associate Professor Edita Partová and Professor Jaroslava Šicková-Fabrici were candidates.
In the first election round, Associate Professor Partová received the votes of twelve of the nineteen present members of the Faculty of Education's Academic Senate.
Associate Professor Partová graduated in the teaching of Mathematics and Physics from the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics in 1983. After a successful rigorous examination at that faculty, she then defended her doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Education. In 2004 she habilitated at Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica to become an associate professor.
Associate Professor Partová will commence her term in office as dean after she is appointed to the position by the Comenius University Rector following the submission of a proposal by the Faculty of Education's Academic Senate. Her term in office will last from 1 February 2019 to 31 January 2023.
