Slovak diagnostic kit vDetect COVID-19 RT-qPCR

The diagnostic kit is a successful outcome of joint research cooperation of Biomedical centre of the Slovak academy of sciences, Comenius University Science Park and several companies - MultipledDX, ProScience Tech and Lambda Life.

This quantitative in vitro diagnostiv test is designed to detect the presence of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 genetic information in samples of bodily fluids taken mostly from upper airways, utilizing the RT-qPCR method. The kit is to be used solely in a diagnostic laboratory. It is certified by the State institute for drug control.

The first 100 000 manufactured kits were donated to Slovak republic.
