Comenius University and Czech Technical University in Prague establish close cooperation in nuclear chemistry

Bratislava, 1 June 2026: Representatives of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Comenius University...

At Comenius University, the activities will be managed and overseen professionally by the Department of Nuclear Chemistry at FNS CU, led by Professor Michal Galamboš. The two institutions plan to join forces not only in shaping a modern educational and research environment, but also in supporting the professional development of students and academic staff.
Joint laboratory and development of scientific activities
A key pillar of the partnership is the establishment of a joint research facility: a laboratory for isotope analysis using LIBS, or Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy. Under the agreement, joint research teams will be set up to prepare international projects and publish joint scientific outputs. The closer cooperation will also extend to the teaching process itself, particularly through mutual cooperation in supervising and reviewing final theses.
“Nuclear technologies have an irreplaceable role not only in energy, but also in medicine, environmental protection, and other strategic areas of society. I therefore consider it essential to systematically train a new generation of specialists capable of delivering innovative solutions and responding to the current needs of both scientific research and practice. Our aim is to create high-quality conditions for the education and professional development of students in nuclear chemistry, radioecology, and nuclear technologies. Cooperation with FNSPE CTU represents an important opportunity to support talented students and young scientists, while also strengthening the link between education and modern research,” said Professor Michal Galamboš.
The memorandum was signed in Prague during a visit by a Slovak delegation organised by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic. The visit to CTU also included a tour of the university’s training nuclear reactor, which is used for practical teaching and specialist training of students and experts in the nuclear field.

[Translate to English:] APLIKÁCIA ČLÁNKU 39 NARIADENIA (EÚ) 2018/858 A PREDPISU OSN Č. 171 NA SCHVÁLENIE SYSTÉMU TESLA FSD SUPERVISED

[Translate to English:] Miroslav Sorkovský, Jozef Andraško

[Translate to English:] V apríli 2026 vydal holandský schvaľovací orgán Dienst Wegverkeer (ďalej len „RDW“) rozhodnutie, ktorým udelil systému Tesla FSD Supervised (Full Self-Driving Supervised) európske typové schválenie s predbežnou platnosťou obmedzenou na územie Holandského kráľovstva.

Vzťah medzi Predpisom OSN č. 171 a článkom 39 nariadenia 2018/858
2 musí výrobca preukázať dôvody technologickej nezlučiteľnosti, dopady technológie na bezpečnosť a životné prostredie a opatrenia zabezpečujúce minimálne rovnocennú úroveň bezpečnosti a environmentálnej ochrany.

Prípad preto zvýrazňuje napätie medzi harmonizovaným systémom typového schvaľovania a pretrvávajúcimi vnútroštátnymi kompetenciami v oblasti používania vozidiel v cestnej premávke.

Monitorovanie vodiča, systémové hranice a zodpovednosť

Technická schválenosť a používanie systému v cestnej premávke

Pravdepodobným počiatočným modelom bude skôr regulovaná mobilitná služba, pri ktorej bude jednoduchšie vymedziť operačný priestor, prevádzkové podmienky, technický dohľad, zodpovednostné vzťahy a mechanizmy priebežného monitorovania bezpečnosti.

Doctoral colloquium - Sabeer Saeed (1.6.2026)

Monday 1.6.2026 at 13:10, Lecture room M II

Sabeer Saeed:
Application of AI in Software Engineering: Advanced Methods in the Development of Large-Scale System Software
Abstract:
This doctoral research lies at the intersection of empirical software engineering, requirements engineering, software traceability, Artificial Intelligence for Software Engineering (AI4SE), and software design. The primary objective is to develop advanced methods that bridge industrial needs and academic theory to streamline the development of large-scale system software.
On the industrial front, this research focuses on Cindy, a comprehensive toolkit suite developed by Markuz at Gratex, which analyzes entire software repositories by mapping not only source code but also surrounding environmental artifacts. To optimize this suite, we are establishing a robust, normalized taxonomy classification for Cindy’s internal detectors. This framework enhances data standardization, reduces metadata redundancy, and ensures the strict reproducibility of software analysis reports and diagnostics.
On the academic front, we address the inherent limitations of rigid, rule-based Abstract Syntax Trees (ASTs) in architectural modeling by leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and Agentic AI. This approach automates the generation and intelligent verification of critical system representations, including UML, Use Case, Activity, Flow Chart, and generic System Model diagrams compiled through code-based rendering engines like PlantUML and Mermaid. Furthermore, we are exploring the comparison of UML models and ArchiMate, as well as applying Agentic AI pipelines to generate complex ArchiMate enterprise architectures, mirroring advanced human reasoning to improve validation and verification strategies.
Ultimately, this work lowers the barrier to understanding complex software design. It provides a scalable framework to ease the development of enterprise systems while creating accessible instructional pathways to teach fundamental programming logic and software design concepts to early educators and young learners.
