CU invites applications of young postdoctoral candidates
Bratislava, 22 July 2021: Comenius University Bratislava will support the research and development of young researchers and the mobility of postdocs with 700,000 euros. It announced 21 open positions in different scientific fields, and applications are welcome before 31 August 2021.
Applicants need to be doctoral study graduates younger than 35 who have defended their dissertation at a university other than Comenius University, particularly abroad, and no more than three years before the beginning of the postdoctoral residency. The residencies are linked to grant projects in basic and applied research or development at CU faculties.
"This is a new activity of Comenius University, launched this year for the first time. The aim of these residencies is to support young researchers and make scientific careers more attractive. I hope this new offering will attract scientists from abroad and help support mobility among scientific establishments," says Jozef Masarik, Vice-Rector of Comenius University for Science, Doctoral Studies and Projects.
Throughout the project, a postdoctoral candidate can receive a total support of up to EUR 27,375. The money is intended to cover the postdoc’s salary and a one-year contract with a possible expansion for two years will be concluded with an expected start on 1 October 2021.
