CU at APAIE Conference and Exhibition in Perth, Australia
Fourteen universities from Slovakia, including Comenius University Bratislava, were participating in the international conference and exhibition of the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) in Perth. Our university was represented by Vice-Rector for Education and Social Affairs Eva Viglašová and Vice-Rector for Property and Investment Jana Duračinská.
The international event opened on Monday 4 March, 2024 and aims to connect higher education organizations from Asia-Pacific with the rest of the world. During the event, the Slovak stand serves as a meeting place for the representatives of Slovak universities with foreign partners and influential guests.
"The goal of our presence at APAIE is to globally raise awareness of our university. Universities from the Czech Republic, Spain, Belgium, Germany, and other countries outside of the EU also sent out their envoys. Many university representatives stopped by our stand to say hello and reaffirm ongoing cooperation projects. Others expressed interest in new bilateral agreements, exchange stays, development of doctoral education, and future research and international cooperation," said Eva Viglašová, vice-rector for education and social affairs.
The international event regularly attracts over two thousand participants from sixty countries. Representatives from the Czech Republic, Austria and Poland participated in previous editions, while Slovakia takes part for the first time.
