The auditorium, dining room, chapel, all of the windows and the external facade of the building were renovated earlier. Soon, existing accommodation facilities will undergo a renovation and new ones will be added, and teacher’s offices at departments and classrooms will be also be modernised. All utilities in the building will be replaced. The inner quadrum of the building will either be renovated or completely glazed, and a lift will be installed. The renovation is fully financed by the Archdiocese of Bratislava which owns the building.

The faculty educates future priests who live in the Priest Seminary and are expected to find placement in the Archdioceses of Bratislava and Trnava, but its students also include lay people and monks. From September 2023, their full-time study will moved to the Priest Seminary of St. Gorazd in Nitra. Due to this joining of the forces, the faculty will require smaller numbers of pedagogues. Bratislava will later only host doctoral students, but will also be dedicated to an expanding study of religious education and additional pedagogical studies. These students will use the rooms of the faculty’s library. The management of the faculty remains in the capital.
