Semester stay for full-time 2.-5. year students are possible at these universities:
The choice of stay in a given academic year depends on the state of exchanges between Comenius University and the chosen university. There are discussions with foreign partner universities every year ad hoc (since Comenius University traditionally accepts fewer student than it sends out).
ELIGIBILITY
Offer is available to 2.-5. year students.
EXPENSES
Study fees are not paid for by Comenius University.
Health insurance, textbooks and study materials, as well as personal expenses will be paid by the students themselves.
Students can apply for a scholarship from the Japanese government or university.
APPLICATIONS
Offer is open from the start of the year 2024.
Applications can be submitted as applying for the IRO offer at the international offices of the universities’ faculties, which conduct the first selection round. IRO specifies particular universities and the number of accepted students the following academic year. The second selection round will be at the Comenius University Rectorate.
Requirements for applying:
- Study application form for (one) chosen university, in Slovak
- CV (x3), in which the applicant must include any previous participation in foreign exchanges related to their study
- Motivational letter (3x)
- Letter of recommendation, from the head of their department, or their bachelor’s thesis supervisor
ACCEPTANCE
Successful applicants will be sent an acceptance letter from the foreign school, with which the applicant can obtain a visa. The student will take care of and pay for the visa themselves.
STUDY OBLIGATIONS
Study requisites, i.e. the agreement with the student’s faculty about recognizing a part or the whole study at the foreign university, are fully the obligation of the student and the faculty which they study at.
REPORT OF STAY
After returning from the study exchange, the student is required to submit a report of stay to the International Relations Office within 30 days, in which the student will also evaluate the social aspects of their stay.
