STUDENT MOBILITY FOR STUDY (SMS)

How to apply

Every year, Erasmus Office opens a call for applications for a student mobility. Students can apply via Mobility Online IT system, but application is possible only when a call is open. Current call for mobilities in 2021/22 is open until 28/2/2021.

Instructions for creating the application in Mobility Online System can be found here.

Student can attend a study stay abroad, with duration of at least 3 months but with maximum of 12 months, during each grade of study (bachelor, master, postgraduate). With study programmes consisting of 1 grade, the mobility can last up to 24 months. Students of bachelor grade have to be at least in the 2nd year of studies. See Grant amount section for more information on your mobility grant.

In cooperation with their faculty officer, the chosen student chooses from valid inter-institutional agreements and fills in the Application form to a foreign university and Learning Agreement for studies. A student can apply for a mobility only at a foreign university which has a valid inter-institutional contract with his/her home department at the time of the selection procedure.

STUDENT MOBILITY FOR TRAINEESHIPS (SMT)

Unlike the student mobility (SMS), while applying for internship (SMT), the student needs to show initiative in searching a hosting institution. We expect that the student would prefer institutions and work positions that are as close to his/her study programme and chosen profession as possible. In an optimal case, internship in the institution could be the first step for getting a job in the said institution. This is one of the reasons why we recommend to choose this type of mobility before the end of your studies, in lower grades you should focus on study mobility (SMS).

Being accepted by the foreign institution means that you have a signed and approved Learning Agreement for Traineeship.

Student than plans his / her mobility from the organisational point of view (accommodation, visa – information: SAAIC, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic, since visa-free sojourn is only under 90 days).

The student has to deliver all the documents listed below at the European Programmes and Erasmus+ Office at least 6 weeks before leaving for the mobility.

Signed Agreements and Confirmation can be delivered to International Relations Office by mail, or via the filing office of the respective faculty, or via the filing office at Šafárikovo námestie, or directly at European Programmes and Erasmus+ Office in office hours.
