The building in Šoltésova street will gain six new teaching rooms and seven new offices for teachers in an attic conversion and a new extension. The new space will include two kitchenettes and toilets. The renovation took longer than planned because the building is located in the listed area of the Old Town, and because of the pandemic. Construction was completed in 2020 but the building only obtained its permit for use on 29 September 2021. At the moment, the building is already used for teaching.

The Faculty of Education also boasts a newly renovated entry area in its Račianska Street building. The entrance was modified in accordance with an overall strategy of Comenius University to make all its premises barrier-free. There is now an access ramp and a new sidewalk, the entrance door was replaced, the entry terrace repaired, interior decoration refreshed and a rest area created. The work was completed in February 2021 and the permit for use was obtained in the past October. The approval process was delayed by the need to obtain a permit to remove a thuja growing in a built-in pot, which was replaced by two new trees. The city council had to give its approval to plant the trees on its land because the faculty had no suitable property itself.
