Milan Jurík Is second-term Dean of Evangelical Lutheran Theological Faculty
On 27 March 2022, Mgr. Milan Jurík, PhD., assumes his function as Dean of the Evangelical Theological Faculty (ETF) of Comenius University for his second term, which ends on 27 March 2026.
The Academic Senate of CU ETF elected him as Dean in a secret ballot at its assembly which took place on 18 February 2022. He was appointed Dean by the Rector of Comenius University, Marek Števček, on 17 March 2022.
Prior to serving as Dean of CU ETF, he was a Vice-Dean of his Faculty for Study Affairs. In the past, he was also the spiritual administrator of the ECAV Theological Dormitory. Since 2002 he has been employed at the Department of Practical Theology of ETF. In his research he studies evangelical hymnology, the spread of the Reformation in historic Hungary and the formation of the worship and spiritual life of Slovak Lutherans; the Cithara Sanctorum hymnbook of Georgius Tranoscius; and the formation and transformation of the song canon of Slovak Lutherans.
