CU Hosts International Student Psychology Days 2025
The Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences at Comenius University Bratislava successfully hosted the International Student Psychology Days 2025 on April 24–25, welcoming psychology students from across Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
This international academic event provided a platform for students enrolled in bachelor's and master's degree programmes in psychology to present their research projects, including seminar and final theses. Participation was open to those who had successfully defended their work at student scientific conferences within their home departments.
A total of more than 30 students from 17 universities took part in the international round, presenting on a broad spectrum of timely and original psychological topics. Presentations explored areas such as psychobiography and the interpretation of memes, the impact of video games on empathy, birth order and academic performance, relationship phenomena such as ghosting and breadcrumbing or the credibility of voices generated by artificial intelligence.
The event also featured a competitive element, with expert reviewers evaluating student presentations. First place was awarded to Marharyta Golub from the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences, while second place went to Ema Henyigová from the Faculty of Arts - both representing Comenius University Bratislava.
The International Student Psychology Days continue to be an important initiative in supporting academic excellence and fostering cross-border collaboration between Slovak and Czech institutions and students in the field of psychology.
