Consultancy

  • making contacts, providing information and consultations during the transition from secondary school to university
  • if needed, help in solving problems arising from student obligations
  • cooperation with teachers of current faculties and departments, consultations on alternative forms of exams, on the question of extending the time for exam preparation, cooperation with the timely provision of compulsory study literature.

Processing study literature into an appropriate form

 scanning documents, recognition using OCR software and editing texts – text files for a special recorder or a personal computer with special software/hardware for people with visual impairments

  • printing in Braille for the blind
  • copying in an enlarged form with increased contrast/printing in an enlarged font.

Working with technology

  • providing modern computer technology, special peripheral devices and supporting software directly in the Centre (see: our technical equipment)
  • training in working with a PC and special software and hardware in the computer classroom of the Support Centre
  • consulting on the selection of personal technical equipment.
